Music Theory Lessons

Music Theory has so often been taught in dry academic settings and has failed to connect with people who are otherwise passionate musicians. In these hands-on, interactive lessons, you will study with the engaging music theory expert and author Antonella Caporele, and fall in love with music theory. The lessons will begin with foundations like pitch, rhythm, time signatures, reading, and notation, and continue to Major and Minor Scales, Key Signatures, Meter, Expressive Elements, Intervals, Melody, Timbre, Texture, Triads and Seventh Chords, Intervals, Modulation, Transposition, and more. You’ll experience spoken and sung Solfeggio, dividing rhythm by hand, aural dictation exercises, and written notation exercises. These lessons can be taken in conjunction with your instrument in order to support your musical learning.

We recommend monthly lesson packages for all our students to promote healthy, consistent musical growth. 

Monthly lessons are prepaid at the beginning of the month reserving your weekly lesson day, time, and instructor. Single or as-needed lessons are also available! Contact us for more info. 

*Monthly rates are based on 4 occurrences of your lesson day. On months where there are 5 occurrences of your lesson day (ex/ 5 Mondays in January), the rate will be adjusted.
